GE's Personal Safety Solution is an enhanced home-based monitoring and emergency response solution that lets seniors and disabled individuals live independently at home while staying virtually connected to loved ones, professional care providers, and emergency medical response staff who can provide assistance if needed. It pairs Alarm.com's advanced wireless and web-based monitoring technology with 24/7 emergency and medical response services. Family members and other caregivers can log in remotely via Alarm.com's secure web or PDA interface to check on recent activity reported by door, window, cabinet, motion, and other sensors installed throughout the monitored home. Email or cell phone alerts are sent automatically when activity outside the resident's normal everyday patterns are detected. GE's Personal Safety Solution is available at a fraction of the monthly cost of institutional care or recurring homecare.
