1. The first step to becoming a Nuance Certified Solutions Provider is review the details on the program and fill out the enrollment application for US & Canadian resellers. Here you will find additional details on the program and a link so that you can complete the on-line enrollment application: (http://www.nuance.com/partners/solutions/#enrollment).

2. Once you have submitted your application it will be reviewed by Nuance Channel Programs and Channel Sales teams in order to determine whether you are eligible for the program. Eligibility is based on a number of criteria, including experience, company size, revenue, growth potential, location, meeting a minimum annual quota of $20,000 and more. At this point we may contact you via telephone to gather additional information about your company and business model within 10 business days to inform you of acceptance, or denial of your application.

3. If you are accepted into the partner program you will need to Return the Terms & Agreement (which will be sent to you upon acceptance of the program) via fax (so that Julie Blauvelt - VAR Channel Manager can jump start the legal process on the document), and mail the original to me at the address below.

4. Should you meet the eligibility requirements, the next step is to purchase a Starter Kit. The Starter Kit costs $995, and includes Not for Resale copies of Dragon NaturallySpeaking Professional, Legal, and Medical Solutions ($2,985 value). The cost also includes the one day introductory Partner Class ($1500 value) on the Dragon NaturallySpeaking software. There are additional classes available, upon request, which focus on custom commands, advanced macros, and more. These additional classes are optional and not required but if you are looking to integrate the software into a specific application these classes would be recommended. Classes are typically conducted on-line for the convenience of our prospects and to reduce travel costs. *NOTE- You may choose to purchase a Starter Kit, prior to your application being approved, however, this does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

5. Register and attend the Partner Class through Eastern Distributing. Once Nuance Communications accepts a new partner into the program, an Eastern Distributing trainer will follow-up with you to discuss the details on when the next training class is going to be offered.

6. Take the online, open book certification exam within 2 weeks of attending the class. A passing score is 85% is required before becoming a partner.

7. Once certified you are able to purchase the Dragon NaturallySpeaking Solutions Series through Eastern Distributing. Our Certified Partner's should work closely with our Speech Distributors as well as the Nuance Sales team to assist them on opportunities.

8. After you become certified we would ask you to Provide Forecast, Sales, & Marketing Reports as well as attend New Release Trainings (available online).
